Blasphemous Sermon of Dr Tahirul Qadri
The Jamat-e-Islami has categorically asked the Muttahida Qaumi Movement to clear its position regarding Namoos-e-Risalat law instead of asking religious parties to stop protesting against the issue. The reaction of JI came in the wake of statement of Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain in which he had demanded religious parties to discontinue their campaign against blasphemy law as the government, especially the Prime Minister of Pakistan has clearly said that blasphemy law would not be revoked. The JI asked Altaf Hussain to pressurise the coalition government to announce on the floor of the House that the blasphemy law would not be repealed. KARACHI, Oct 19: A religious organisation called the Ulema Millat-i-Jafria has demanded that former home minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza offer repentance to Allah and apologise to the Ummah for his alleged blasphemous remarks made at a press conference. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the ulema said Dr Mirza had hurt the sentiments of the entire Millat-i-Islamia by his insulting utterances and had made an attempt to vitiate the atmosphere of peace and unity. They said the former home minister had wrongly quoted the events of the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hussain (AS) which amounted to blasphemy and a cause of resentment in the Millat-i-Islamia. Speaking at the Karachi Press Club, Allama Ikram Tirmizi, Allama Azhar Naqvi, Allama Syed Ali Karar Naqvi, Allama Athar Mashhadi, Allama Shaikh Ali Muhammad Mutahiri, Allama Syed Mohsin Kazmi, Allama Agha Nadir Rizvi and Allama Kamran Turabi and others condemned terrorism of every nature. They said that for a long time mosques, Imambargahs and processions of Millat-i-Tashih had been targeted. The Hazara community was particularly being targeted in Quetta, south Punjab, D.I. Khan and Parachinar, and innocent youths of Millat-i-Jafria were being targeted in Karachi, but the government authorities and institutions as well as the media were silent on the issue and it amounted to patronising terrorists. They criticised the attitude of the higher authorities and the media and demanded that the chief justice, the army chief, the president and the prime minister discharge their duty by exposing this conspiracy immediately. They praised MNA Nasir Shah for raising voice against victimisation of Ahl-i-Tashih in parliament. They said anti-Islam forces had always blown up differences among the Muslims but the Pakistani nation had foiled every conspiracy through peace, love and friendship. PESHAWAR, Jan 9: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement was blackmailing the government as it could not survive without power, alleged Qazi Hussain Ahmad, the former chief of Jamaat-i-Islami. Speaking at a function here on Sunday, he said that it was understood that MQM would rejoin the government. He said that MQM had been using such tactics since long and resignation from the cabinet was also a drama. “MQM cannot survive without government,” he said. He opposed in-house change in the parliament, saying it would not bring any change in the existing system, which was based on injustice. Qazi said that late governor of Punjab should not have used derogatory language by calling blasphemy law a “black law”. He said that Namoos-i-Risalat was most sensitive issue for Muslims across the world and late government should not have used such words. He said that blasphemy law should not be abolished otherwise it would create anarchy in the society. He said that in the absence of law people could also punish innocent persons. “That`s why government should not touch this law. Muslims have always provided protection to minorities,” he added. JI deputy chief Sirajul Haq, former MNA Maulana Abdul Malik, Dr Mohammad Iqbal Khalil and other leaders also addressed the function. The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) will on Saturday take out a protest rally against the conviction of Mumtaz Qadri from Purani Numaish to the Tibet Centre. This was announced at a joint press conference here on Thursday by the Chief of Sunni Ittehad Council, Haji Hanif Tayyab. In this connection, Haji Hanif Tayyab said that the SIC had contacted different factions and political parties which believed that the conviction of Qadri was wrong. Sahibzada Fazal Karim, speaking on the occasion, demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari to intervene in the matter and set aside the death sentence. He said invitations had already been delivered to different political and religious parties as well as to people from different walks of life. The SIC had already formed a committee of Ulema, headed by Mufti Mohammed Afzal Qadri, that would provide religious guideline on the review petition to the lawyers. Quotes from just after the Islamic Revolution in 1979:
For example Khomeini once made a statement which was published in the Tehran times (Kitaab be Noujawanaan - P8) that if he conquers Madina Munawwarah, he will remove the two idols (Hadhrat Abu Bakr and Hadhrat Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) besides Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him). I am certain that no believer will accept such a statement against the great luminaries of Islam. Brother Amin, are we then to condemn only Khomeini and condone Mawdudi knowing well that Mawdudi was a close friend of Khomeini and was sympathetic to his course. In a book titled, 'Two brothers - Maududi and Khomeini' page 129, the following statement of Dr Ahmad Farouk Maududi (son of Abul-A'ala Maududi) was published in Roz Naame, Lahore - 29 September 1979, "Allama Khomeini had a very old and close relationship with Abba Jaan (father). Aayaatullah Khomeini translated his (fathers) books in Farsi and included it as a subject in Qum. Allama Khomeini met my father in 1963 during Hajj and my father's wish was to create a revolutionary in Pakistan similar to Iran. He was concerned about the success of the Iranian revolution till his last breath.'

Although Mr. Haider Abbas Rizvi (Deputy Parliamentary Leader of MQM in the National Assembly of Pakistan) is a thorough gentleman and also an eloquent speaker but on 16th July 2011 (Frontline with Kamran Shahid on Express News) while speaking on Khomeini and Iranian Revolution, Mr. Rizvi misquoted some facts about Khomeini, his exile days in Paris, France, his Revolution and bloodletting therein. The founder of MQM, Mr Altaf Hussain had also opined "Pakistan needs another French or Iranian revolution. Tragedy with Pakistani Political Class is that they never break free themselves from the shackels of Religion in our case Islam. Mawdudi all his life indulged in Dirty Power Politics but in the name of Islam, Bhutto in the end in his Jail Cell asked for Rosary Beads and became Sufi and put that rosary beads around his neck, Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari from time to time needed the support of Dam Jhaar [a kind of Magic Muslim Sufi do] so much so Pervez Musharraf and even that Rascal General Zia needed the help of Sufis for Dam Jhara and not a single Ruler succeeded in getting any benefits. Politics should be free from any kind of Religion. What we have here that Mr Altaf Hussain while sitting in LONDON, UK since more than 10 years having British Passport, giving Pakistanis the glad tiding of the Revolution like Khomeini brought in without realizing that Altaf Hussain had himself sacked Aamir Liaquat Hussain from MQM for declaring that Salman Rushdie should be killed [I wonder if Altaf Hussain remembers that the Fatwa was issued by Khomeini and Salman Rushdie was British Subject like Mr Altaf Hussain].
